SANCA ZULULAND Substance Abuse Prevention and Awareness Project

South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (SANCA) is recognised as an organisation which specialises in the treatment and prevention of substance abuse. With an increase of children and youth experimenting with substances, the Foundation has partnered with SANCA through their expertise with the aim of providing treatment services, educate and create awareness on substance abuse. The treatment and awareness programmes assist individuals to gain insight of substance abuse and get motivated to change.

Zululand Mental Health
Zululand Mental Health is non-profit organisation with its offices located in the town of Empangeni within uMhlathuze City. The main objective of the organisation is providing advice, counselling and support to individuals inflicted with intellectually and psychiatrically disabilities.

The prolonged state of disaster as a result of COVID-19 brought about a state of anxiety within communities and that is when we also observed an increase in cases of mental health issues.”- ZML
