About Us

The Uthungulu Community Foundation (UCF) is a community driven Grant Making and Community Projects Management non-profit organisation. We have a mission that is driven by the desire to improve the quality of life in local communities.

The Uthungulu Community Foundation is a multifaceted organisation in terms of its operations:

• We provide developmental grant funding that support local community-based programmes and projects.
• We advise and assist corporate donors in the implementation of impactful and sustainable programmes and project.
• We provide a Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) accredited skills development and Enterprise programmes.
• We host “gender synergy dialogue” workshops that seeks to address the scourge of gender-based violence and to promote social cohesion in local communities.
• We run a “home greenies” programme that promote healthy eating lifestyle and food security through indigenous and innovative ways of having home and communal gardens.

Since our inception, we have been involved in numerous community developmental efforts that have made impact in the lives of ordinary local communities. We do this, through partnerships and collaborations with individuals, Foundations, non-profit institutions, private and public sectors  that we share the same philanthropic values and principles.

We continue to engage with our traditional leadership and communities to build trust and instil confidence in order  to bring about positive change.
